I hold with those who favor fire

Score a poetic victory for the Burning Crusade:

Fire and Ice

Some say the world will end in fire,
Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
Is also great
And would suffice.

Too bad it's only perishing once. In your face, Lich King!

Heh...and this is coming from a guy named "Frost!"

'Sup, big guy? You know... Frost is easily my favorite poet.

Don't you ever find it just a trifle depressing that by carrying out your very purpose (after all, you are the self-proclaimed destroyer of worlds) you destroy the possibility of any brilliant poets being birthed forth into the bright sunshine and giving you words of inspiration?

The beauty of mortality is that we (humans, trolls, tauren, dranei, elves, dwarves, and *shudder* gnomes) are fragile. We are inspired by the realization that our time is limited; it is both our greatest limitation and our most amazing gift. So tell me, what inspires you, O dark one?

I'm inspired by the same things that inspire any true craftsman: a skillful hand, a carefully planned job, and at the end of the day (quite literally) results I can be proud of.

Oh, and power. Raw, unadulterated, throbbing, immortal, overwhelming evil power.

((This has been one of my favorite poems since high school. Screw that other one that EVERYONE quotes. Oh, you know which one I mean -- "Two roads diverged in a yellow wood" and, bla bla bla, I'm special.))

My name is Sindrow (**Frost Mage**), and I approve of this message.
